Alison Doody

Alison Doody is an Irish model and actress. She was born on November 11, 1966. Her feature film debut was in a minor role on The James Bond film A View to a Kill. (1985). Then, later she played the Nazi-sympathising archaeologist Elsa Schneider (Indiana Jones and in the Last Crusade 1989). Siobhan Doovan portrayed Charlotte in Taffin in 1988, and Rebecca Flannery starred in Major League II in 1994. Doody started modeling after being offered by a professional photographer. It led to an impressive modeling career in the commercial world. Doody was averse to glamour and nude work, a rule that was carried into her acting. Doody was offered a tiny role in the film Jenny Flex for 1985's A View to a Kill when her name was picked by the casting director. Doody's name was featured in John Willis Screen World Vol. 12 which features the most promising actors of 1986. 38. Doody had just turned 18 years old when she took on the role of Bond girl. She starred alongside Pierce Brosnan in the film Taffin (1988) before taking possibly her most famous role to date in the role of Austrian Archaeologist and Nazi-sympathiser Dr. Elsa Schneider in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade as a co-star with Harrison Ford. Doody is a member of the James Bond family, having acted along with Sean Connery and Jonathan Pryce in the film Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Doody has co-starred alongside Jonathan Pryce, in the British mini-series Selling Hitler. The series was an inspiration for the Hitler Diaries publishing scam. When she moved to Hollywood Doody made her famous. It was her choice to succeed Cybill Shepard as L'Oreal spokeswoman and went on to star opposite Charlie Sheen as Flannery, his girlfriend and agent as Flannery's girlfriend and agent in Major League II. Doody played a role in the 2003 British comedy The Actors. Michael Caine portrayed her at a ceremony to receive an award. Doody's roles included a TV movie adaptation of King Solomon's Mines in 2004, a booklet about the Holocaust, and the short film Benjamin's Struggle in 2005. Doody was cast in Danny Dyer's The Rapture (2009). Then, she appeared on RTE's Medical thriller The Clinic. She was supposed to be the star of an adaptation in 2011 of the classic horror film The Asphyx. However, that project eventually stalled. The year 2011 saw her debut on the first of two seasons on E4 comedy drama Beaver Falls playing Pam Jefferson. In 2014, she was a part of We Still Kill the Old Way. In November of 2018, she was awarded by the Almeria Tierra de Cine award as well as the honor of a star on the Almeria Walk of Fame.
